Setup Inclinometer, Laser Measure, ScanCam, Kampac.

Configuration panel for several modules that extend functionality with specialized hardware.

SubSite RST Inclinometer

Click here to see how the Inclinometer works.

Enable or Disable: Subsite RST Inclinometer Device.

Version.

RST V1: Older, more common version of the RST Subsite Inclinometer.

+/1 5V Low Res: Not a common setting but there are older overlays out there that support this setting.

RST V2: Newer design of inclinometer. Not as common as V1.

Enable POSM Laser Measure.

Click here to see how POSM Laser Measure works.

The POSM Measurement Utility allows for measurements to be made based off of a known distance. This is accomplished by using two lasers in parallel. The distance between the lasers is known ahead of time. By calibrating the screen, POSM will count the pixels of the drawn line and give an accurate distance measurement of that line. For the most accurate measurement, zoom in as close as possible to the defect while keeping the laser lines in view of the camera. The more pixels that are used in the measurement, the more accurately POSM can measure.

After enabling the POSM Measurement Utility, set the “Enter Length of Targets” box with the distance between the laser dots or lines. If using imperial units, enter this in inches. If using metric, use millimeters.

The measurement utility must be calibrated each time a measurement is taken. To calibrate the measurement utility, right click on the screen and drag a blue line between the laser points. This will let POSM know how many pixels per inch or mm there are on screen. Anytime the camera is moved or zoomed the calibration must be redone.

Make a left click on the video screen then drag the mouse to create a red line. As the line grows larger the “Calibrated Length” value will get larger. Releasing the mouse button will copy the value to the field that was set up in the preferences. That field can then be set up to display on the overlay if necessary. This broken joint example has a 1.72 inch distance between the joint and broken concrete.

Enable POSM Measure: Turns on laser measurement utility. This enables on-screen measurement. Two lasers with known distance between them are projected onto the pipe and seen on the video.

Default cal value: This is where the known distance between the two lasers is stored.

Store Measurement in Field: Specify the special field in POSM where the measurement is stored. Options are 1st-9th Dimension and Remarks.

Decimal Precision: The amount of decimals measured. Options are 1 (10th's), 2 (100th's), 3 (1000th's).

Rausch KamPac Pressure Test.

Click here to learn how Rausch Kampac works.

Enable Kampac: Turns on the Rausch Kampac pressure testing system.

Display Imperial Units: Toggles measurement units from metric to imperial.

Air / Water: Specify if the pipe will be filled with water or air during testing.

Enable Rausch Macro.

The Rausch Macro is a software controller for Rausch systems. It enables the operator to control the tractor and camera through a computer interface.

Enable Macro: Turns on the Rausch Macro controller.

Find Macro: Auto probe communication ports for the presence of the Rausch Macro.

Set Macro Port: Once the Macro is found, press Set Macro Port button to save the correct communication port.

Launch Macro From Test Macro: Some systems require a macro to be started prior to POSM. This will connect the pre-launched macro to the POSM session.

Path to Macro: Browse for the path to the WinKanal32 folder which contains the Macro software. The path is typically C:\WinKanal32.

Rausch ScanCam.

Click here to learn how Rausch ScanCam works.

ScanCam is a Rausch spinning laser hardware device used to measure the ovality of a pipe.

Path to ScanCam: Browse for the ScanCam software. It is typically C:\WinKanal32\ScanCam.exe.

Horizontal Plot Label: Change label of horizontal plot.

Vertical Plot Label: Change label of vertical plot.

Average Plot Label: Change label of average plot.

Pipe Size Plot Label: Change label of pipe size plot.

Maximum Plot Label: Change label of maximum plot.

Pos Neg Maximum Plot Label:

Store Horizontal ScanCam Results: Default Value 3.

Store Vertical ScanCam Results: Default Value 4.

Store Width ScanCam Results: Default Value 5.

Store Diameter ScanCam Results: Default Value 6.

POSM Product Key.

POSM Product Key for each computer is displayed here. Used to generate a registration to unlock features.

Rausch ScanCam Unlock: Where registration is entered to unlock the Rausch ScanCam module.

Rausch KamPac Unlock: Where registration is entered to unlock the Rausch KamPac module.

Rausch Latras.

Click here to see how Latras works.

Rausch Latras is a hardware module where a gyroscope is in the head of the lateral camera. It is used to record positions during inspections. This enables a GIS map to be created of the laterals that were inspected.

Enable Latras: Turn on the Latras module.

Collect Latras Data in Template: Select the template that will be used with Latras.
