The Start MACP Inspection interface is designed to make entering manhole inspection data easier and more intuitive. POSM includes graphical measurement guides that help operators identify manhole components and understand exactly which measurements are required while completing the inspection.
The MACP data-entry screens and measurement guides are organized using the corresponding NASSCO MACP manual section numbers, including Sections 1B, 1C, 1D and 2A through 2J. This allows an operator to use the POSM diagram while entering inspection data and quickly cross-reference the matching section of the NASSCO manual when additional instructions or measurement details are needed.
Measuring and documenting the individual components of a manhole is one of the most detailed and time-consuming parts of completing a MACP inspection. POSM's visual diagrams simplify this process by showing the operator which manhole components and measurements correspond to the inspection fields being entered.
As with the standard Start New Session and Modify Session Information Header windows, fields displayed in pink are required. Operators can use the traditional Start New Session window to complete the MACP header or use the Start MACP Inspection interface and its graphical measurement guides.
After the inspection header has been completed and saved, the MACP information can be reviewed or changed using the Modify MACP Inspection function.
